General
The app combines a flexible and powerful range of functions that are common in the directory sector and enables the user to search for contact details intuitively.
Search nearby
To browse the directory data, the app enables the user to search by location and keyword. The
corresponding search result is displayed as a list. Clicking an item opens the entry's profile page
where detailed information is presented.
The user can choose to call the shown contact, navigate to its address, brows its website or book
online - if the contact supports this feature. Furthermore he can contribute by leaving a
review.
Below the review section, a horizontal list of alternative suggestions is accessible. This gives the
user the chance, to browse the search results comfortably.
Search by phone number
Alternatively to the nearby search, the user can explicitly search for a specific phone number. Doing so, the profile page will be shown and present the available data. This does not only work for the partners directory data, but - if desired - for our spam protection, too.
Collect reviews
Via the app menu, the user can access all of his reviews, which he wrote on a contacts profile page. The collected data is not only shown to other users, but also used to generate a textual summary to describe the corresponding contact (see "expert opinion" in the screenshots above).
Caller ID & spam protection
Beside the described common feature set, the app can extend its functionality even further - by providing our Clever Dialer core functionality: Caller identification and spam protection. If the partner wants to offer our spam protection to the app users, the app can be configured to contain a screen, which reflects the current status of this feature. It will enable the users to activate, check and update the spam protection.
Android
On Android, the app uses our Clever Dialer SDK for Android to provide caller identification and spam protection. If the user wants to activate it, he is guided through our onboarding process, where he is asked to grant the required permissions.
Once activated, the app is able to show our so called Pre- and Post-Call Overlay which contain the most important directory data about the phone number (like name and address), or a warning in case of a known spam number, whenever the user receives a phone call and data is available.
Doing so, the app is able to bring your brand to the fore with every phone call by showing your directory data and / or our spam warnings.
iOS
On iOS, in comparison to Android, the possibilities to react on phone calls are limited by the OS. However, the app is able to provide spam protection, based on our spam number database. If the user wants to be protected against known spam numbers, he is guided to the system settings, where he just has to activate a toggle button next to the apps name (here "Demo").
Once activated, the system will show a spam warning and the apps name (here "Demo"), whenever the user receives a phone call from a known spam number. Furthermore, if the user tends to call a known spam number, this warning will be displayed in the native dial pad, too. And of course, the native call log will be enriched by the warning as well.
Being warned against a known spam caller is a strong, positive user experience. Let your users benefit from it. It's no secret: Happy users are loyal users!
